Summary Report, FY 25:
Since 1992, the Kansas Water Office has contracted with the Kansas Rural Water Association to fund a technical assistance program to public water system.  The funding is a benefit of the Clean Drinking Water Fee. In FY24, the contract provided assistance to 139 cities and 70 rural water and public wholesale water supply districts and other systems. A total of 4,985.75 hours was spent delivering help to water systems under this contract. The Association conducted 154 water loss surveys in 78 different water systems (cities and RWDs), locating more than 297 million gallons of loss on an annual basis.

Kansas Rural Water Association provides technical assistance for Water Systems in the areas of Water Rights, Wellhead Protection,Source Water Protection, OIT Assistance, Surface Water Treatment, Vulnerability Assessment, Emergency Planning, Water Conservation, and Leak Detection.
