Summary Report, FY 26:
Since 1992, the Kansas Water Office has contracted with the Kansas Rural Water Association to fund a technical assistance program for public water systems. The funding is a benefit of the Clean Drinking Water Fee. In FY26, the contract provided assistance to 126 cities and 63 rural water and public wholesale water supply districts and other systems. A total of 4,879 hours was spent delivering help to water systems requiring 61,945 miles. The Association conducted 140 water loss surveys in 73 different water systems (cities and RWDs), locating nearly 304 million gallons of loss on an annual basis.
