Summary Report, FY 24:
Since 1992, the Kansas Water Office has contracted with the Kansas Rural Water Association to fund a technical assistance program to public water system. The funding is a benefit of the Clean Drinking Water Fee. In FY24, the contract provided assistance to 140 and 87 rural water rural water systems, public wholesale systems or other water systems. More than 5,000 hours of time was spent delivering help to water systems under this contract. The Association conducted 175 water loss surveys in 73 different water systems (cities and RWDs), locating more than 258 million gallons of loss on an annual basis.
